Comprehensive Mental Health Assessments
Our team of mental health professionals conduct intensive mental health evaluations. These are in-depth interviews that give us an understanding of your emotional well-being. Assessments require an understanding of your family background, life experiences, and physical health and may include prior psychiatric records from other providers. Assessments include
- Diagnostic Assessments
- Individualized treatment plans
- Psychiatric Evaluation Psychotherapy
- Assessments
Medication Management
Psychotherapy alone can be used to treat disorders, but sometimes medication is necessary to manage symptoms that are overwhelming or may be affecting your personal and professional life. Our Psychiatrists and Nurse Practitioners use natural interventions first before exploring medications in conjunction with lifestyle modifications and integrative interventions. Within the Substance Use Disorder Program, we support your mental health rehabilitation with individualized medication-assisted treatments.
Our support may include the provision of medical advice or prescription medications and reminders. We may also work with other healthcare providers to effectively oversee proper medication. Genetic testing can be used to explore how your DNA may respond to specific medications.

Addiction Treatment Medications
Suboxone (Buprenorphine)
Suboxone also known as Buprenorphine is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of Opioid Use Disorder and significantly improves the treatment outcome of addiction to opioids. Buprenorphine is used as a part of a comprehensive treatment plan which will include individual or group therapy, ongoing assessment, and medication dosage adjustment. Buprenorphene comes in different forms;- Generic Buprenorphine/naloxone sublingual tablets
- Buprenorphine sublingual tablets (Subutex)
- Buprenorphine/naloxone sublingual films (Suboxone)
- Buprenorphine/naloxone) sublingual tablets (Zubsolv)
- Buprenorphine/naloxone buccal film (Bunavail)
- Buprenorphine extended-release injection (Sublocade)
Buprenorphine is an opioid partial agonist and attaches to the parts of the brain that pain medications and heroin do. At low to moderate doses, it produces euphoria and effects such as euphoria or respiratory depression.
Differences between Buprenorphine and Methadone
- It is safer and less likely to cause an overdose.
- Buprenorphine is less sedating
- Lower doses of Buprenorphine are effective at blocking the effect of opioids.
- Lower the potential for misuse than Methadone
Naltrexone
Naltrexone (Vivitrol, Revia) is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat both opioid use disorder (OUD) and alcohol use disorder (AUD). The pill form can be taken daily, but the extended-release injection (Vivitrol) is administered once every. You can get sick if you take naltrexone while an opioid drug, be open about your recovery journey and discuss all possible options with the provider.Naloxone
Naloxone (Narcan) is an opioid antagonist medication used to reverse an opioid overdose. It is a temporary treatment and its effects do not last long. It is critical to obtain medical intervention after receiving naloxone so prepare to stay for an assessment and further interventions. In the outpatient setting Naloxone can be given by intranasal spray (into the nose), intramuscular (into the muscle), or subcutaneously (under the skin)Disulfiram (Antabuse)
Disulfiram was FDA-approved in 1951 for the treatment of Alcohol Use Disorder and works by blocking an enzyme that is involved in breaking down alcohol. Drinking alcohol while taking disulfiram produces unpleasant side effects that can help keep you from drinking. Disulfiram is not a cure for alcohol use disorder; Counseling and support groups psychotherapy, and counseling support are helpful in addition to disulfiram for the best chance to stop drinking.Acamprosate (Campral)
Acamprosate is not used to help the alcohol withdrawal symptoms. It reduces the physical and emotional distress caused by alcohol addiction. Acamprosate is used to maintain abstinence from alcohol dependence and helps to prevent relapse. Acamprosate is part of a comprehensive treatment plan that includes therapy and ongoing addiction/ mental health support.Lab Services
